Mindfulness - the what and how

Mindfulness is a state of being able to maintain a moment by moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surrounding environment without judgement.

Mindfulness starts by being able to accept and pay attention to our thoughts and feelings.

Did you know your thoughts create your feelings? When you are in a mindful state you are aware of your thoughts and the impact it has on your feelings in any given situation.

Do you take on a new project at work with open arms, or with regret? Have you ever tried to change your thoughts on the project to see how your feelings will also change?

The next time you get a feeling, pay attention, take a deep breath and lean in on your thoughts. Even give your thoughts a 180 degree turn to see how that changes your feelings.
